RESULTS OF THE RECENT NOMINATION PERIOD for places on the Alumni Council were announced last month by the Secretary of the General Association of Alumni, Sidney C. Hayward '26. The seven Council Districts of the country have all completed the nomination process. Several terms of office of two years each will expire June go and of these, five present incumbents were reelected to seco nd terms. In four cases it was necessary to name a new member of the Council because of ineligibility of the present memb er to continue after completing two terms of office, or because of unavailability of the present member because of military service.

The following nominees were declared elected since not more than one nomination was made for each vacancy. Their terms of two years begin July 1, as follows: District I: Col. Arthur T. Soule 'O8, Boston, re-elected for a second term. District II: John I. Gearhart '26, Pittsburgh, to succeed Nathan K. Parker '26, Pittsburgh.

District III: Eugene Hotchkiss '22, Chicago, to succeed J. William Embree '21, Chicago.

Dr. Robert M. Stecher '19, Cleveland, reelected for a second term.

District IV: Nomination period extended to complete District election.

District V: Charles F. Weston '18, Richmond, Va., to succeed Lt. Col. F. Jordan McCarthy '26, Baltimore.

District VI: Allen Lathrop '28, St. Louis, to succeed Daniel S. Dinsmoor 'l6, St. Louis.

District VII: Fred C. Shaneman '24, Tacoma, Washington, re-elected for a second term.

Hubert A. DesMarais '26, San Francisco, re-elected for a second term.
