At Manchester, New Hampshire, recently, we found Sam Hunt active as ever, many civic and personal affairs claiming his interest and time. Sorry to learn that George Dodge has not been too well lately. Business taking us to Rutland, Vermont, permitted pleasant contacts with Dr. Martyn and Judge Griffith.

Mrs. Goss writes that Charles founded the Merchants National Bank of Dover, New Hampshire, in 1900 and also the Merchants Savings Bank in 1901, so make notation of this in your "1893 »n 1943-" She advises that son Charles Lane Goss, Dartmouth '25 is in war service with the State Department, Washington, and that his family is living at "Powder Major's," Mrs. Goss' wonderful country place in Madbury, New Hampshire. She also says that Archie Osborne's daughter is living in "Madbury Corner." We hope to have more information about this later.

"Woody" writes of a noteworthy event of our freshman year which was overlooked in "1893 in 1943" as follows:

"My only complaint is that you didn't mention the fact that I played end on the class football team, especially that game with '94 in wet snow slush about six inches deep in a pouring rain. "Squash" Little credited us with winning it when Ted Weston pivoted and skidded over the goal line, floating on the football. I don't recall the exact score but the conversions were immersions as it now comes back to me. I think that Squash saved some of us from drowning by pulling our heads out of the muddy snow slush."
