THE GIFT OF $500 to the College was made by the Class of 1939 last month to establish the Class of 1939 Memorial Fund, "in honor and memory of those of us who may not return from the present war, and in honor and memory of other classmates who may no longer be with us at the presentation of this gift in 1964."
This initial contribution and additions from time to time will finally constitute, in 1964, the 25th Reunion Gift of the Class. The Trustees of the College will hold and invest the principal of the fund and yearly income will be credited to the Alumni Fund in the name of the Class of 1939. Upon the death of the last member of the class, or at an earlier date by agreement between the class and the Trustees of the College, these conditions will expire and the principal and income of the 1939 Fund may be used as the Trustees decide.
Among the younger classes, funds functioning as endowment are now carried on the College books for 1932, 1936, 1938. Memorial Funds with income going to the Alumni Fund are carried for the classes of 1913 through 1918, and other funds functioning as endowment are those of 1919, 1920, 1921 and 1926.
