CAPTAIN FORD K. SAYRE '33, USAAC, manager of the Hanover Inn, was one of four men killed at Spokane, Wash., July 23, when two attack bombers of a squadron staging a war show collided in the air. Word of the tragedy has arrived at press time and further details are not available.

Captain Sayre and his wife, Peggy, have managed the Hanover Inn since 1936 and for three years prior to that were in charge of Dartmouth-at-Moosilauke. He was granted leave by the College to accept an Army Air Corps commission in August, 1942, and has been stationed at Spokane since the completion of special training at Miami, Fla. Besides his wife Peggy, now acting manager of the Inn, he is survived by three children, Ford 8, Margaret 6, and Robert 4; and also by his brother, Captain George P. Sayre '34, Army, Medical Corps, now serving in the Pacific.
