IN CELEBRATION OF DARTMOUTH NLCHT, 19 loyal alumni and one former Dartmouth professor gathered at the San Diego University Club for refreshment, dinner and general good fellowship. It was especially satisfactory that this group, which met to pledge anew their interest and pleasure in all things pertaining to Dartmouth, included eight Dartmouth men in service.

Following the dinner, several of the group went on to Balboa Stadium to watch the El Toro Marines sparked by Dartmouth's great Bob MacLeod '39 romp to victory over the San Diego Amphibious Force. Bob called the signals and played with all the fire of his undergraduate days. Shade of the Yale Bowl! Every Dartmouth man in the San Diego area is cordially invited to attend the dinners of the San Diego Group held the first Wednesday of every month at the San Diego University Club. The regular monthly meeting o£ the Dartmouth Alumni group in San Diego was held at the University Club on Dec. 6. It was a pleasure to welcome at this dinner three native sons of San Diego, all lieutenants in the Navy who have now returned to this area. They were Lts. Sherwood, Heller and Self.

Congratulations were also extended at the meeting to Walt Snead who was recently made a lieutenant commander.
