Tentative plans are now underfoot to stage reunions in 1946. We haven't appointed a Reunion chairman or committee yet, because not enough of us are out of uniform yet. Another month or two may make a different story. In the meantime, if anyone has any reunion ideas, send them in, even if it calls for a reunion to end all reunions.

Lt. Nate Straus, Brooklyn Navy Yard, and Rebecca Smith, New York, Vassar '43 and an M.A. from Columbia, are engaged. From clippings: "Marine Major Robert D. Kelley has returned to the Marine Air Depot at Miramar, Calif., after leave and reassignment after action in the Marshall Islands. His wife, Georgette, is a second lieutenant in the Marine Corps Women's Reserve, stationed in San Francisco." "Sergeant John A. Rand of Hanover, N. H., was among forty-five handpicked veterans of the 10th Mountain Division chosen as an honor guard to accompany the first of Brazilian Expeditionary Forces to return to their homeland. Arriving in Brazil for a two weeks' stay, the men were greeted by President Vargas and cheered by thousands as they paraded along Rio's main avenue. They were scheduled to return by plane to their outfit stationed in Italy. Rand holds both the Bronze Star Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge."

The Salvation Army in Boston is putting on a drive for $400,000 .... "Co-operating in the appeal is James A. Cotter, president of James A. Cotter Cos., plumbing contractors. He is a member of the directive council which has top responsibility for the conduct of the campaign, and is chairman of Division F in the campaign organization."
