DECEMBER AND JANUARY were two extremely busy months for Dartmouth alumni in Atlanta. In December we had the pleasure of a visit from Donald Cameron '35 from Hanover. There were nine of us at Alva Wilson's house on Saturday, Dec. 2, to hear from Mr. Cameron about the College's Vocational Placement Program and then on Mon- day, Dec. 4, there were 10 at the lunch given for Donald at the Biltmore Hotel. These two sessions with Mr. Cameron went far toward establishing the groundwork for the operation of the Vocational Placement Plan which was endorsed with considerable enthusiasm by the local alumni. Its success is certainly assured as far as the Southeast is concerned.

On December 15 Dartmouth alumni with their wives and dates turned out 28 strong for Paul G. White's Christmas Party at the Henry Grady Hotel. A delightful evening of cocktails, dinner, dancing, entertainment and a little mild tippling was enjoyed by everyone.

In January we had the honor and pleasure of a visit from Prof. Allen R. Foley '16 who spent several days with us in Atlanta to visit some of the local spots of interest and, as might have been expected, quickly add all of the Atlanta alumni to his already great host of friends and admirers. On Friday night, Dec. 15, a large number of alumni turned out for a dinner at which Mr. Foley gave a marvelous demonstration of why he is so much in demand as a speaker at alumni affairs. We thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated Mr. Foley's visit and hope he will come our way again soon.

We plan to meet next the third Friday in February. That will be February 16, the time 8:30 P.M. Any alumni in this section who do not receive our regular announcements in the mail are invited to call the secretary at HEmlock 5285 and get together with us if you can.
