MAJOR DEORMOND "TUSS" MCLaughry, USMCR, Dartmouth's head football coach, returned to the College's athletic stalf last month following his release from the Marine Corps. He was detached Feb. t from duty as Judge Advocate at Parris Island, but since he has 60 days' cumulative leave he will remain in uniform until placed on inactive status April 1.
Coach McLaughry resumed his gridiron duties with the knowledge of a stiff 1945 schedule awaiting him but with practically no idea of what material will be available next fall. He announced that no decision had been reached on spring or summer practice, and that no assistant coaches had yet been hired, although Milt Piepul will probably continue as backfield coach.
