A short cheer is in order for George Amidon. Having done a good job as Assistant Treasurer of the State of Vermont, he has been upped to the post of Tax Commissioner.

At the Dartmouth Alumni Banquet in Boston on the last day of February the following delegation showed: Bob Rhoades, Lane Goss, Nate Bugbee, Lang Spring, Line White, George Newman, Les King, Lou Kimball, Woody Wilson, Line Davis, Fair Sawyer, Jim Curry, Bob Rahmanop and Ken Hill.

Monty Chapman couldn't make it, due to a refereeing job at Andover Academy. He is handling the whistle in the Vermont State finals.

Pete Blodgett, making a fine convalescence from his operation, was another man not there. Jock Brace could not show, being en route between Washington, New York and Montreal on a special Navy job—this in addition to all his other tasks.

Eddie Pease was out of town on urgent Company business. Speaking of Pease, he recently met Andy Edson while skiing at North Conway.

Frank Kennedy has a 30 day leave at home, after a long hitch in the Pacific.

Buck Jones is back in Los Angeles after nineteen months in the South Pacific on Halsey's staff as chief censor. One of his ribbons indicates a citation for meritorious service from Adm. Nimitz.

Roland Barnfather is now at 25 Howard St Pittsfield, Mass.

Dick Holden sends his regrets that he will not be able to make the 20th, just in case there should be a 20th. Right now the Lieutenant is shacked up in Russia, near Archangel. He flew all the way to Moscow and from then on went by train. He has a comfortable house, two servants, one being a good cook. He says that he is getting a kick out of meeting the Russians and seeing them really get things done to win the war. Mail takes a couple of months to get to him. The return on his letter is Lt. R. K. Holden USNR, Mail and Despatch, ONI Navy Department, Washington, D. C. Dick must get lonely at times. Better drop him a line.

They aint much happened sence the last riting. Got a reminder in the mail that the annual Alumni Fund Drive is on. So I dug down into the old weasel skin and laid the well known e pluribus unum on the line. Awl kidding aside I don't know nothing as gives me as much solid satisfackshun as sending in that check. Makes me feel good, just like I do when I shoot a torn cat lugging off a robbin, heave a wife beater into jail, collect a bill often a perfessional dead beat or pass the Communion in Church. Makes a feller feel he has did suthing really worth while.
