IN AN INTERESTING "PROFILE" of the Connecticut, Alice Pollard, wife of Dr. Joseph G. Pollard '23 of the Faculty, describes the Wilder Dam Project, subject of the latest of the many controversies centering about the river. Mrs. Pollard's article, Dartmouth's River, looks back into the past of the noble stream and ahead into the possible future of the Hanover part of its course as a "lake."
President Hopkins, in the second feature of this month's issue, makes an eloquent and moving appeal for the establishment of universal military training in the United States. His article, For Military Training, has already appeared as a letter in The New York Times.
