QUEBEC ALUMNI HELD their Spring Conclave on June 1. Dan Hatch '06 gave us some recently discovered anecdotes on Canadian Indians and their Dartmouth affiliations. Rex Stollmeyer '29 described the Trinidad asphalt deposits and proved the existence of said deposits by bringing in a sizeable chunk of ore. Bill Terry '13 told astounding tales of a recent fishing expedition in Abit'ibi—but produced no evidence. "Cut" Tirrell '00, Jesse Hubel '14 and Charles Clarke '16 ably assisted in rounding out an enjoyable evening.
We were pleased to have two visitors, Andre Stollmeyer '32, who had just arrived in Montreal from the British West Indies, to visit brother Rex, and Bill Cunliffe, father of Bruce, who is a recent "graduate" of the V-12 Unit at Dartmouth, Marine Detachment.
Ed Wardle '99 has taken up residence in Meriden, Conn., and plans to spend his summers in Grand' Mere. Elwin Wright '29 is somewhere on the high seas for the Canadian Navy. Charles McCarthy '16 spends considerable time in the Maritimes. We extend our sympathy to Bill Dodge '29 on the recent loss of' his mother.
