DARTMOUTH COLLEGE CLUB

37 East 39th Street

JUNE, TRADITIONAL REUNION MONTH, Was high- lighted here in the metropolitan area by informal class gatherings which normally would have been official reunions under the elms of Hanover plain.

The classes of 1915 and 1930 both met at the club, reports indicating that those attending thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Men of 1931 also held a class dinner here on the 27th.

Nineteen twenty-five, with Jack Per-Lee as host, had its Twentieth Reunion at the Bonnie Briar Country Club in Westchester. Jack Reeder, with his eye on the ball, turned in the best golf score with a low gross of 93. Un- official tabulations placed Chet Bolles and

Jack Davis in a tie for high gross somewhere beyond the 300-mark.

Batch Batchelder '19 retires as president of the Dartmouth Club at the end of this month to be succeeded by John Moore '23. Batchelder's administration will go down in the records as outstanding in achievement. He turns over to President Moore an organization which is sound financially and well established as a definite asset to Dartmouth men here and everywhere. When he took office, on the other hand, there was no certainty that the club would be able to overcome its legacy of troubles caused by the depression years.

This summer there is more activity around the club than was evident in past dog days. This, of course, is due' partly to the greater number of servicemen who are around but some credit must also be given to Pete Wallace's skill at concocting cooling drinks.

Pictures of football and other athletic teams are now being framed and will be hung in the club bar as soon as the authorized alterations are completed. In addition, photographs which have been reproduced as covers on the ALUMNI MAGAZINE will be used to make the "Hanover" bar a reality instead of merely a meaningless name.
