An attractive booklet of pocket magazine size, entitled "1924 Went to War," came off the presses late in August and was distributed the same month to all '24 class members. It was the first publication of this kind by any Dartmouth class since the termination of hostilities.
Containing a short synopsis of each individual's personal history since leaving Dartmouth, and a chronology of each man's service record, the booklet devotes a separate page to each '24 serviceman. Conceived by Secretary James T. White of New York City, the idea was carried through by Prof. Chauncey N. Allen '24 of the psychology department who worked up each individual history and chronology from the Alumni Records Office files, and the printing was handled by Kenneth Foley of the Dartmouth Printing Co.
