Dartmouth Night
October 1946

The date for this year's observance of Dartmouth Night will be Friday, October 25. Plans are being made for a celebration of the old tradition on the night before the Columbia game in Hanover when a Webster Hall meeting will feature a talk by President Dickey and the reading of telegraphic greetings from Dartmouth alumni clubs. Alumni clubs across the country will meet October 25 as one of the first events of the year's program of regional club activities.

Dartmouth Night has been observed for 52 years without interruption since its establishment by Dr. Tucker in the early years of his administration. This year's observance will be the first for an all-civilian student body since before Pearl Harbor.
