WILLIAM T. MAECK '43 has been appointed Assistant to the President, effective with the beginning of the fall term. President Dickey has also announced a change in title for Charles F. Camp '43 from College Officer in Charge of Fraternities to Assistant to the Dean of the College.
Maeck, who received the A.B. degree in 1943, graduated as a Master of Commercial Science from Tuck School this past September. During the war he was a member of the U. S. Army Air Forces for three years, two-and-a-half of which were active duty time. He was commissioned a second lieutenant and received his pilot's wings in April, 1945.
As an undergraduate, Maeck was a member of Vigilantes, secretary of Green Key, a member of Palaeopitus, the Interfraternity Council and vice-president of the Interfraternity Treasurers Council. He was also a member of the varsity Glee Club and earned his freshman numerals in crew. He is a member of Phi Kappa Psi and Casque and Gauntlet. He is now treasurer of the Class of 1943.
He will be married on November 2, 1946 to Miss Elizabeth Russell Cooper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Skinner Cooper of Minneapolis, Minn., in the Church of Christ in Hanover.
