A RECENT TABULATION of Rhodes Scholarship awards from 1904 to 1939 lists Dartmouth in sixth place among American colleges and universities with 20 recipients. The College is headed by Princeton with 61, Harvard 46, Yale 43, Virginia 26, and Brown 22. A total of 211 college are included in the tabulation, and of these 41 had ten or more of their students selected by the Rhodes award committees. The figures have been compiled by Dr. Frank Aydelotte, American secretary to the Rhodes trustees and director of the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton.
