THE SEVEN ALUMNI COUNCIL DISTRICTS of the country have completed nominations to fill vacancies this spring. Alumni clubs and associations are empowered to submit nominations for vacancies in their areas. Of the nine District terms expiring June 30, the names of two present Councillors who are eligible for reelection have been submitted without contest. Seven new members have been chosen to fill the remaining vacancies in uncontested nominations.
Service on the Council for District members is limited to two successive terms of two years each. The following were declared elected by Sidney C. Hayward '26, Secretary of the General Association of Alumni, when nominations closed March 10:
DISTRICT I: H. Clifford Bean '16, Boston, elected for a first term to succeed Col. Arthur T. Soule 'OB, Boston.
DISTRICT II: H. Sheridan Baketel '20, Philadelphia, elected for a first term to succeed John Gearhart '26, Pittsburgh.
DISTRICT III: Edward J. Petrequin '25, Cleveland, elected for a first term to succeed Robert M. Stecher '19, Cleveland; and Eugene Hotchkiss '22, Chicago, reelected for a second term.
DISTRICT IV: Frank T. Frey '38, Milwaukee, elected for a first term to succeed Clifford A. Randall '27, Milwaukee. DISTRICT V: Charles F. Weston '18, Hopewell, Va., re-elected for a second term.
DISTRICT VI: Boyd Rogers '35, St. Louis, elected for a first term to succeed Allen Lathrop '28, St. Louis.
DISTRICT VII: James W. Hodson '29, Seattle, elected for a first term to succeed Fred C. Shaneman '24, Tacoma; and William W. Washburn '14, San Francisco, elected for a first term to succeed Hubert A. DesMarais '26, San Francisco.
