THE DARTMOUTH WOMEN'S CLUB of Boston, which established one of the College's earliest student loan funds, has recently contributed an additional $800 to this fund, raising to more than $1,000 the amount that has been given over the past 14 years. This year's check was accepted for the College by Davis Jackson '36 of the Veteran's Office, who spoke at a luncheon meeting of the Club in Boston.

The Loan Fund was started in 193 a to be used at the discretion of officers of the College for undergraduate aid. It has served as a model for similar revolving loan funds established by Dartmouth alumni clubs. The annual additions by the Dartmouth Women's Club of Boston, ranging in amount from $500 to $1000, have been raised through voluntary subscriptions and various benefit events arranged by the Club members, who are the wives and mothers of Dartmouth men. The head of the Club this year has been Mrs. Allan L. Priddy, widow of Allan L. Priddy '15 and mother of Allan L. Priddy Jr. '42 and Stanton B. Priddy '43.
