My family and I recently called on Log and Rebecca Jackson at their beautiful home on the top of a high hill in New Boston, New Hampshire. Entirely aside from the pleasure of seeing Log, the trip to see the old house and the gorgeous view across the valley is much worthwhile. I found Log in excellent spirits and delighted to see anybody who might be in the vicinity. He is confined closely to the house, although making occasional trips in the car. Rebecca and Dorothy make excellent masters of the home. Log does a lot of reading, but finds it difficult to write much. If each of us could have gone through what he has and come up smiling with the same dogged spirit that Log has always possessed, we would be a surprise to our own families.
