Dartmouth has been receiving a boost in the Cleveland area through the real estate advertisements of John F. Anderson '34. College cheers and nicknames have been tied in with descriptions of houses and lots being offered for sale through the John F. Anderson Company.

Typical is this use of the Wah-Hoo-Wah yell: "A WAH-HOO-WAH! At Dartmouth College when a student or alumnus accomplishes something really 'super,' it was our custom to salute him with the Big Green's famous yell. We feel like giving a Wah-Hoo-Wah! for the architect who designed the Georgian colonial home we are offering at 3148 Yorkshire road."

Another example of Anderson's Dartmouth-minded advertising is this one: "THE BIG GREEN" is the nickname for a well-known college football team (Dartmouth). It also describes this beautiful wooded lot "

Anderson doesn't see why other Dartmouth men advertising real estate or other products throughout the country cannot give the College the same boost. Apparently his technique pays off, for his firm is doing over a million dollars worth of business in the Cleveland area each year.
