FIVE ADDITIONAL appointments to the faculty and the administrative staff were announced by President Dickey and became effective with the opening of the fall term.

They are Dr. Robert C. Storrs '40, of Hanover, who has been named instructor in pediatrics; Dr. Renwick C. Caldwell, also of Hanover, who was named teaching fellow in medicine; Harold L. Bond '42 of Newtonville, Mass., who was appointed instructor in English; Gordon C. Abrams of Washington, D. C., who was named reference librarian in Baker Library; and Ernest R. Hamilton '41, of Hanover, who was appointed assistant to the Director of Admissions.

After graduating from the Dartmouth Medical School and the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia, Dr. Storrs had residences at the Children's Hospital, Cincinnati; the Babies' Hospital, New York City; and the Children's Hospital, Boston. More recently he has been a member of the Hitchcock Clinic.

A native of Burlington, Vt., Dr. Caldwell graduated from the University of Vermont in 1938 and the University of Vermont Medical School in 1941. After serving four years in the Army Medical Corps, he held a clinical fellowship at the Dartmouth Medical School.

A captain in the infantry during the war, Bond comes to Dartmouth from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was an instructor in English.

Recently on the staff of the Library of Congress, Abrams did graduate work at Columbia and the University of Wisconsin. Entering Dartmouth in 1937, Hamilton interrupted his undergraduate work to serve in the Army from January, 1941 to December, 1945. He returned to Dartmouth in March, 1946 and received his A.B. degree in June.
