Word has been received that John Norman Anderson, Jr., previously listed as missing in action, has been officially declared dead by the Navy Department. The class extends its sympathy to his parents, his wife, Joan, and to John Norman Anderson, 3rd, whom we hope will be a Hopkins Scholar at Dartmouth in the 1960's. A fuller account of Norm's life and achievements will be found in the INMEMORIAM section of this issue.
A letter from Brazil tells us that Bob Ewing is in "Sao Paulo." Bob has not been getting his ALUMNI MAGAZINE regularly and wonders whether the College is forgetting about him. There is a 50-50 chance he will be able to get back to the Reunion and he, certainly, is going to do his best to make it. Due to his long absence from the States, Bob has probably seen fewer classmates than almost any '37er, and is looking forward to Roy Abbott's visit to Rio. Bob makes the suggestion that periodically a column in the ALUMNI MAGAZINE be devoted to just giving the current addresses of all members of the class to enable contacts between friends to be reestablished. What do other members of the class think about this suggestion?
Dave Kenerson is now located in Camden, N. J., with the West Jersey Hospital. He reports that Dave Jr. is now nearing his third birthday and is showing a definite interest in Dartmouth matters. He forwards several excellent suggestions for the Reunion and, certainly, is looking forward to be there in June.
Bob Dunham is now connected with the Puget Sound Power & Light in Burien, Washington John Handrahan reports that plans are completed for an early Boston gettogether, which will have taken place by the time these Notes appear in print. "Coach of the Year," 'Red' Blaik is sending over pictures of the Army and Navy Game, and Whitey Fuller is coming down from Hanover to help out John in commenting on the football game pictures, and also to tell us what is going on in Hanover Bob Ekin is working for the Railway Express Company at 635 Folsom St., San Francisco. He is living in Palo Alto John Foley has gone into foreign affairs for his post-war work and is Treaty Advisor to the Office of the Legal Advisor in the Department of State at Washington Henry Pierce writes from York, Penna., where he has been personnel supervisor for the General Electric Company for the past four years. Daughter Bonnie now 2½ received her first pair of skiis this Christmas He reports John Wright, who transferred to the General Electric Company in York from the Erie Works to take over as Supervisor of Production, likes his new job very much Henry and John were unknown to each other in Hanover and were quite surprised to discover as fellow executives their mutual class affiliation at Dartmouth. John and Henry recently attended a Central Pennsylvania Dartmouth Alumni Meeting in Harrisburg and found the Class of '37 taking honors for having the largest number of members present.

Sey Oschmer is getting along very well since he and his wife returned to the University of Pennsylvania where Sey is completing his medical studies Don McKinley is planning a Dartmouth Meeting after a rather important event, which should come off in January or February At present it looks as if Don and Jack Gray with wives will constitute a quorum in Denver.... Dana Prescott and his bride, Lynn, were up to Denver from Camp Carson at Colorado Springs recently to purchase skiis, etc Tom vonTacky reports his new connection is Hope's Windows Inc., at .101 Park Ave., New York City Fred Vogt is working for Price, Waterhouse & Company, in Brussels, Belgium, and can be reached at 60 Rue Ravenstein Louis Valier sailed his own yacht from the Coronado Yacht Club last July for Tahati. After a 55-day voyage, he and his crew arrived safely at the City of Papeete. .... Jere Duffy and Catherine Brown, of Katharine Gibbs' School are engaged to be married. .... Owen Collins, Personnel Manager of Chance Vought Aircraft Division of United Aircraft, spoke at the Stamford Chapter of the Society for the Advancement of Management recently on the subject of the 'Trend to Unionization of Salaried Employees.'....

Em Bentley wrote from his company, the Bristol Broadcasting Company, Inc., in New Bedford and sent along his annual contribution. He made the suggestion that the yearly dues be increased, it being understood that a definite portion of the increase should be added year by year to the surplus to go with the 25th Reunion gift to the College. The Executive Committee and Reunion Committee of the class, certainly, welcome such suggestions as this and hope more fellows will advance their ideas, so that they can be considered before the Reunion in June Charlie Blaisdell wrote recently enclosing his dues contribution from his Law Office at 280 Madison Ave. He reports that he is concentrating on Taxation Law and criminal matters and finds it pretty hard catching up after four years with the F.B.I Ham Mathes writes from Massachusetts State College at Fort Devens, where he is now an assistant professor of French. He is looking forward to a very interesting year with a great bunch of students. Ham has been the past year in Boston teaching at Franklin Tech. Institute Bill Rotch writes from the Cabinet Press at Milford, N. H., that he is very interested in hearing plans on local reunions in various cities. He would like to attend wherever possible to give the accurate and general idea of what has been done on reunion plans to date. Bill is handling the publicity in connection with our Reunion. .... Gordon Torrey, now in India, is expected back next year. His wife and child will be back before too long, and Gordon may be back in time for the Reunion.
