C. Lane Goss '25 has been elected president of the Worcester Country Institution for Savings in Worcester, Mass. This is the fourth largest savings bank in the state of Massachusetts. After graduating in 1925, Lane took postgraduate courses at Tuck School and at Oxford. Later he worked in banks in New Hampshire, Boston and France.
Lane has been in the banking field in Worcester since 1927. He is the fifth of his family to become a bank president. His father was president of the Merchants National Bank of Dover New Hampshire.
In 1928 he married Constance Woodworth of Concord, New Hampshire. They have two children, Georgia and L. Woodworth Goss. During the war Lane served as an assistant to the Chief of the Liberated Area Division in the State Department.
