Remote Reunion

Two Dartmouth classmates travelled half-way around the world and met recently as opponents in a football game-In the Bamboo Bowl in Manila on New Year's Day, the "Sweat Bowl" champions, the I. and E. Raiders, met the Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, team in a service football classic.

Roland Becker '49, an ex-Indian football and hockey team member, played in the backfield for the Hawaiian team and Hugh Brower '49, also an ex-hockey team member, quarterbacked the Raiders. The final score was Raiders 13, Schofield 6, but Brower and Becker spent most of their post-game time talking about last year's hockey team and laying plans for their return to Dartmouth next fall.
