THE DARTMOUTH CLUB of Utica held a Christmas Meeting at the Fort Schuyler Club on Monday, December 23, 1946. In spite of extremely inclement weather, 19 were present at the bar when the dinner gong rang. We were privileged with the attendance of a number of present undergraduates, in whose honor the Smoker was held. These undergraduates were Randall H. Bright '49; Thomas C. Bright '49; Gilbert Jones '45; Theodore Jones '46; James C. Locke '44; Willard W. Prince '46; Wallace B. Owens '47; and Francis T. Chase Jr. '47. A good many of the local members had not had an opportunity to meet all of the undergraduates. The meeting was called to order by President Capps '19, and in lieu of a speaker, Mr. Capps asked each member to get up and give a brief sketch concerning himself. Messrs. Roland Chesley and Charles DeAngelis, both from the class of 'OB, took up considerable time questioning Mr. Wistar Williams '36, a peddler of chemicals, as to whether he had anything that would help out their baldness. Wistar was unable to help them with anything but a good supply of the "hair of the dog."
A discussion was held relative to the coming Ski Weekend which the club is putting on at the Turin Ski Slope. We are all going to stay at the Hulbert House in Boonville, N. Y. over Saturday and Sunday, January 25 and 26. Present indications, in this area, are that there is going to be a lot of snow as we have had skiing in Turin for sometime. By the time this comes out in the MAGAZINE, the weekend will be a matter of history. We are sure to have a good time in this revival of the old houseparty spirit.
