JAMES PHINNEY BAXTER, 111, President of Williams College, shown with President Dickey at the Pres- ident's House, gave the Phi Beta Kappa address at- Dartmouth on March 11. He stressed the role of liberal education in solving the complex problems of the world and urged the continuation of close ties between America and Britain for the mainte- nance of world peace.
