The Big Red of Cornell recently acquired aid (and an aide) from Dartmouth when President Edmund E. Day 'O5 announced the appointment of Whitman Daniels '32 of New York City to the newly-created post of assistant to the president in charge of public relations. Daniels' principal duties will consist in the coordination of the various public relations activities of Cornell.
Most recently with the Chase National Bank of New York in the public relations and advertising divisions, Daniels spent the greater part of his three years of naval service in public relations assignments.
During 1933-38 Daniels was associated with the Riverdale Country Schools as director of admissions and head of the French Department; as extension secretary and an instructor at the Child Education Foundation and Teachers Training School in New York; and associate director of the Park Lodge School at Pau, France.
