Spring Trips Indicate Possible Power in Baseball, Lacrosse; Tennis, Golf and Track Teams Are Still Largely Untested
In the interval since our last dispatch, little of a momentous nature has occurred on the Dartmouth athletic scene. Easter vacation saw all the spring teams engage in junkets of varying lengths into the hinterland of the middle South in quest of warm weather and preliminary competition. Inasmuch as these contests were intended primarily for conditioning and experience, they will be passed over lightly in this column, which prides itself shyly on transmitting all the news that's fit to print. The sole encounter of any team as we go to press which will have any permanent interest to this family group is the opening of the League baseball season on April 12 against Columbia, from which the Green emerged with a rousing 11-2 victory.
