The picture of the high-slung automobile includes Mrs. Homer St. Gaudens, daughterin-law of the famous Augustus St. Gaudens of Cornish, N. H., Dwight Perry and Jim Irwin. The principal purpose of this picture is to show how Jim Irwin really looked, due to the fact that in a recent picture adjoining this column but inserted by the august secretary of 1910 one individual was labelled as Dutch. Dutch completely denies the allegation, and this picture will confirm his statement.

Libby Butts has given up her home on Beacon Hill, Boston, and moved permanently to her home in Fitzwilliam, N. H., where she will extend welcome to all 1911 sojourners who strike this part of New Hampshire. Her son Dick is working at the Beloit Lumber and Fuel Company plant in Beloit, Wise. This is one of Ed Keeler's subsidiaries.

A recent engagement was that announced by Mr. and Mrs. George Morris at a party at their home in Washington. Daughter Hillis was the girl involved and the man was Dr. William L. Garlick of Baltimore. Hillis is a graduate of Miss Hall's School and Vassar. She made her debut in Washington during the fall of 1941 and since graduation has been associated with a publisher in New York City. Dr. Garlick, a graduate of Emory University and George Washington University School of Medicine, entered the Army Medical Corps as a lieutenant in the 42nd General Hospital. He served in the southwest Pacific for 38 months as a major in command of the 3rd Portable Surgical Hospital and had combat service with several divisions. He holds the Legion of Merit, two bronze stars, four battle stars for Pacific operations, and the Presidential Unit Citation. After being retired as a lieutenantcolonel he became instructor in surgery at the University of Maryland Medical School. The xvedding will take place the latter part of June.

George Morris recently was elected speaker of the House of Deputies of the International Bar Association.

Dick Chase's son, Dick Jr., who graduated from Dartmouth in '37, has been awarded a fellowship by the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation for his work in English. Dick received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Columbia University and is an instructor in English at Connecticut College for Women at New London.

Bob Heeler's name should be erased from the inactive list and put onto the very active list in the front of the directory. He is now associated with Clair S. Hall & Company, investment securities, Union Trust Building, Cincinnati 2, Ohio.

Word from Aubrey Butler is to the effect that, "It's a lot more fun being grandparent when you have two granddaughters than just one," which is now Aubrey's situation.
