I'm sorry to say that Barrows had a very tragic end. He had been living in East Falmouth, Mass., since his retirement from the Quincy school department a couple of years ago. His cottage burned to the ground January 25, and both he and his wife were burned almost beyond recognition. It is not known just what caused the fire, but it is believed that Mrs. Barrows was overcome when the kitchen stove exploded, and that Barrows, who was ill, tried to rescue her. They left three children, two of whom are teachers and one a chemist.

Mrs. Teddy Locke had a delightful trip last summer. She visited the Grand Canyon, California, Alaska, Lake Louise, Banff, etc., and was gone just a month. Her home is now in Penacook, N. H.
