ON THE NIGHT before Dartmouth Night, the Dartmouth Club of Springfield, Vt., came together for its fall meeting. Because we knew that great things were going on in Hanover, we didn't try to get a speaker from the College, but held our party strictly among ourselves.

The only regularly scheduled speaker was Homer Bogart '44, who has recently come to our area as a teacher at Vermont Academy. He gave us a very interesting talk on the College from the standpoint of a recent graduate. After that we just talked. As usual, Doc Martyn had some most interesting reminiscences and it was probably just as well that the current crop of undergraduates couldn't bear them. Henry Flynn and Charlie Safford had some equally interesting comments.

Twenty-two in all were present. Doc Martyn '93, who brought along his classmate, Willard G. Aborn '93; Charles Safford '08; Henry Flynn '14; Ray Adams '19; George Page '20; Stuart Eldridge '24; Weston Blake '24; Larry Leavitt '25; Justin Bugbee '25; Dugan O'Leary '26; Ken Kent '28; Forrest Brown '29: Steve Martyn '30; Dick Butterfield '30; Peter Wilcomb '30; Steve Williams '31; Phil White '37; Hartness Beardsley "37; John Lovely '37; Homer Bogart '44; and Holmes Whitmore a friend of ours whom we informally made an honorary member of the class of '44 sometime ago. As usual, it was a grand session and the hotel finally turned out the lights to get us started home.
