DONALD S. SMITH, consultant on group hospitalization for the College and for the past ten years superintendent of Hanover's Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, died at the hospital December 23 after a brief illness. He was 52 years old.
A native of Shakopee, Minn., Mr. Smith •was a graduate of the University of Minnesota. Before coming to Hanover he was assistant superintendent of the Minneapolis General Hospital. He was past president of both the New Hampshire Hospital Association and the New England Hospital Assembly.
Besides his wife and two children in Hanover, he leaves two brothers, Ray and Kenneth of Minneapolis. The funeral was held December 26 in Hanover.
