A NEW INSTRUCTOR in the physiological sciences and two teaching fellows in geology were three appointments to the faculty announced by President Dickey last month.
The new Medical School instructor is Dr. Roland E. Lapointe of Manchester, N. H., whose duties include instruction of residents in surgery and anesthesiology at the Veterans Hospital in White River Junction in addition to his instruction of undergraduates in the physiological sciences.
The two new teaching fellows are Ernest W. Marshall '48 of Laconia, N. H., and Henry W. Coulter '43 of Hanover, both of whom will complete their undergraduate courses this month. A former resident of Greensburg, Pa., Coulter entered Dartmouth from Hill School and is the coauthor of the book, Mountain ClimbingGuide to the Grand Tetons. A graduate of Laconia High School, Marshall served as a naval ensign in the Pacific during the war.
