A NEW 16 mm. color and sound motion picture showing fall and early winter scenes at Dartmouth has recently been completed and is, available for showings to both alumni and non-alumni groups. Entitled Hanover, 1947. , the film was sponsored by the Public Relations Council and produced by Dartmouth College Films under the direction of J. Blair Watson. The script and cohimentary are by Walter J. Fultz '46 and the photography by Adrian Bouchard, College photographer.
Opening on the campus panorama viewed from Bartlett Tower, the film includes the start of the College year, familiar stores and faces on Main street, classroom lectures, the freshman-sophomore football rush, the model of the proposed Hopkins Center, the Great Issues course, and the annual DOC freshman trip. The film takes 17 minutes to exhibit.
Also recently completed are two silent reels in black and white on the 1947 football season. Entitled Football Scrapbook,1947, the film includes important plays of the Penn and Harvard games.
