ACCORDING to newspaper accounts of the filing of his will for probate, James B. Reynolds '90, who died February 7, left two-thirds of an estate estimated at $487,000 to Dartmouth College. The other third was left as a trust fund for Mr. Reynolds' step-granddaughter.
Mr. Reynolds made a special bequest of $8,000 to Alumni Fund endowment, the income to be credited annually to the Class of 1890. News stories from Washington, D. C., where the will was filed for probate, stated that the main bequest was to establish the James B. Reynolds Foreign Scholarship Fund, providing foreign scholarships for Dartmouth graduates.
