Tuss McLaughry and his assistants are currently working every afternoon with a spring football squad of about seventy. After the freshmen had had a couple of preliminary weeks of fundamentals, the full squad reported on April 5 and at this writing are engaging in some rough-and-ready scrimmages. Spring practice is a notoriously poor basis on which to make gridiron predictions, but it is probably a safe statement that Dartmouth will have backfield material galore next fall but no-where near enough capable line reserves.
