The usual summer lull in the activities of most organizations was encountered by the Central New York Dartmouth Club, with one very large exception, in the form of a joint clambake with the Syracuse area Cornell and Pennsylvania alumni. This affair involved an afternoon of golf, horseshoes, beer-drinking, and the customary clambake fare, followed by dinner complete with roast beef and door prizes. The event was held at the Yacht & Country Club, on the shores of Oneida Lake, August 17.

The proud Dartmouth spirit was very much in evidence with regard to attendance, for although the Dartmouth group issued less than one-seventh as many invites as Cornell and far less than one-half as many as Pennsylvania, the final tally of those present was 24 Penn men and 23 each from Cornell and Dartmouth. It was agreed generally that this was the finest party put on in many years, and the Penn Club which did all the organizing deserves a hearty vote of approval for a job well done.

Among those in attendance were Chuck Bassett, John White, Jim Carpenter, Bob Bruce, D. W. Benson, John Chamberlain, Rex Felton, John Martino, Tom Doxsee, Jim Capps, Beezie Smallwood, Bob Cushman, Bill Daniels, Frank Welch, Fred Brown, Perry Anderson, Larry Smith, and Norm Simpson.
