The annual meeting of this organization was held at the Onondaga Country Club in Syracuse on April 6. A cocktail hour preceded a very fine dinner, and the whole evening was greatly enhanced by the presence of the Dartmouth coeds, bless 'em! The wives were invited to our dinner meeting last fall before the Cornell football game, and the party was so completely successful that it was a pleasure to repeat the invitation.

The only business before the Club at this time was the election of officers, and this detail was handled Acheson-Topeka & Santa Fe style, by the nominating committee of ChuckBassett, Bill Morton, Dick Spencer, and spokesman Frank Welch. Confidence in the incumbent administration was expressed in the re-election of the President and Secretary. he slate offered by the nominating committee and accepted unanimously by the membership was: John White '41, President; M. CarterStrickland '29, Veep; Bill Morrow '41, Treasurer, Norman Simpson '44, Secretary; JimCapps '43, Assistant Secretary.

And as the train puffed into the station on one wheel, the President modestly accepted the re-election by telling the zebra story, following which he introduced the guest speaker, Don Cameron '35, Associate in Placement of the Dartmouth Personnel Bureau. Don's excellent coverage of the Hanover scene and the particular problems engendered by the world situation was just the touch needed to make a true Dartmouth meeting of it. Everyone present enjoyed the opportunity to meet Don again.

It was a pleasure to have our very good friends, Jay Brown '97 and Phil and Mrs.Winchester '99, with us for the meeting. In addition, the following men were present, complete with better halves: Ralph Brucker 22, Charley Durkin '23, Henry Barker '24, Dimon Benson '27, Bill Morton '2B, Bob Bruce '30, John Chamberlin and Frank Welch '31, Gardy Spring '35, Bill McNulty and Wis Williams '36, Dick Spencer '37, Bill Daniels and Beezie Smallwood '40, John White '41, Jim Capps '43, Norm Simpson '44, Rex Felton '45, Perry Anderson '47 (single but not alone), and Tom Tormey '48. The meeting was missed by Ralph Merritt '46 because of a brand new 7-pound, 14-ounce male deduction, by Frank Stern '48 for the same reason of unknown heft, and by Stan Barr '44 be- cause of a honeymoon.

The few occasions during the year when we do get together on meetings such as this are so thoroughly pleasant that it's a shame more of our members don't join in. Although perhaps not too many of the other members are well-known by all—without meaning to wave the old school banner too vigorously—there is a common interest in Dartmouth which starts us off on the right foot; and after all, there is no such thing as a Dartmouth man who is not a pretty good guy, worth knowing.

Our next event will be the annual Ivy League clambake with Dartmouth, Penn, and Cornell men joined in what has become a wonderful tradition. Notices will be going out in a few weeks, and we will look for Dartmouth to cop the attendance prize again as we have for the past two years. Big Green out!!
