Organized activity by the Club has been kept to a minimum due to business, vacations and other activities generally prevalent at this time of the year.

However, on August 22, Cincinnati baseball fans, and in particular the Dartmouth Club, had the pleasure of playing host to Robert"Red," Rolfe '31 and the Detroit Tigers. On this occasion the Detroit Tigers played the Cincinnati Reds in an exhibition game, with the proceeds going to the Boys' Amateur Baseball Association of Cincinnati.

It had been the intention of the Alumni Club to have some sort of celebration in behalf of Red Rolfe and the fine job he is doing in Detroit. Due to his brief stay in Cincinnati, Red requested that we dispense with any such activities. Instead, at the suggestion of JimTraquair '26, a check from the Dartmouth Club was presented to Red Rolfe by President Stacy Hill '41 during the pre-game warm-up. In turn, Red Rolfe presented the check in behalf of the Dartmouth alumni to the Amateur Baseball Association of Cincinnati. Approximately 35 alumni attended the game in a group. Thanks to the Cincinnati Baseball Club, we had seats next to the Detroit dugout.

We want to acknowledge our thanks to Walter H. Kopf '22, former major leaguer and long-time friend of Red Rolfe, for his cooperation in making this a successful occasion.
