Any absentees from the Third Annual Picnic on June 4 missed a swell shindig on a beautiful day. We acknowledge our indebtedness and sincere appreciation to grand hosts, Bill and Dot Blanchard, who have offered their grounds and put in a lot of effort to make our picnics possible.

Seventy-five of mixed ages and sexes had hamburgers and beer, sunshine and fun. Official cooks, Bill Blanchard, Ed Foley and LouWilcox kept hamburgers rolling. After the first round of victuals, Prexy Van Derbeck MC'ed the program. Dot Blanchard and Doug Woodring hobbled to an easy victory in the mixed three-legged race. Bill Bumsted took the male Sack Race and his guest, Kit Ford, broke the tape for the ladies. Prizes having been presented these winners, the non-athletic minded moved their beer mugs to the grandstand as two hard hitting ball teams took the field. With Paul Canada calling strikes, Bill Blanchard's Bearcats took an 11 to 9 decision over Ed Foley's Polecats. An so back to hamburgers, beer and bull until the long shadows sent us home from the best picnic yet.

Turning to a new season, your Officers and Board of Governors have established a few definite dates that they ask you to glue to your hat band or wherever you keep followups.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 17 at Mayfair harms, West Orange. Remember the job they did for us last time and you won't miss this. Just a good opportunity for an evening with the guys you want to see. No speaker, possibly a movie, but plenty of Dartmouth fellowship.

MONDAY, MARCH 27, 1950. You'll recall Tuss was at Dick's House instead of Mayfair last spring. We hope to pick up his rain check for this affair, which will be the annual meeting and election, and hear some inside dope on the 1950 team. While guests are always welcome, this party, timed to Spring Vacation, will particularly feature undergraduates, fathers and prospective freshmen.

SATURDAY, JUNE 3 the Annual Family Picnic. For those who know this affair, 'null said.
