ON registration day, September 20, 75 second-year men and 106 first-year men were checked in for the start of Tuck's 49th year. In no time, the returning students were settled in their respective quarters, the first-year men had received the customary "briefing" from the second-year group: and the routine of classes, assignments, reports, etc. was underway.

After a few days, the respective groups selected their officers and representatives for the coming year. The local chapter of the Clearing House elected the following: President, William C. Bower; Vice President, Orton H. Hicks Jr.; Secretary, Francis R. Drury Jr.; Treasurer, Alan H. McAllister; Social Chairman, George B. Gerrish. Messrs. Bower, Hicks and Drury, by virtue of their positions, automatically represent the second-year men as Policy Committee representatives.

The first-year class elected as Policy Committee representatives Messrs. Frenzel, McIlwain and J. L. Myers.

Following these selections, Dormitory Committees for Chase and Woodbury were chosen, to complete organization plans for the year.

Social Chairman George Gerrish lost little time in completing arrangements for a social period in Stell Hall which featured the broadcast of the October 1 game with Pennsylvania. George also has arranged to resume the 10:00 A.M. coffee period in Stell Hall which was so popular last year.
