Thursday evening, Oct. 27, prior to the annual Blue-Green clash in New Haven, was the occasion for the fall get-together of Hartford's football fans. Some 60 alumni and guests gathered at the Wampanoag Country Club for the usual cocktails and dinner. Bill Lee, sports editor of the Hartford Courant, was the first speaker of the evening. He's an old hand at the game and was in his usual good form. He was followed by Rod Wolbarst, DC AC publicity director, and a newcomer to most of those present. His discussion of the current football situation in Hanover was excellent and entertaining. His enthusiasm for his job and his team were all that could be expected. Following his talk, we were shown complete movies of the Colgate game with appropriate commenting from Rod. A good time was had by all.
