Since our last report, we have had in Cleveland several meetings worthy of note. On December 31 the Club entertained Dartmouth applicants and their fathers at a luncheon held in the Hotel Cleveland. More than 250 persons in all heard Fletcher. Andrews '16, Dean of the Law School of Western Reserve University. Fletch made the Dartmouth College case interesting to all who listened and a good vehicle for use of the excellent Andrews humor.

On January 28 President Dickey and Al Dickerson, Director of Admissions, were the principal speakers at the annual banquet of the Club held at the University Club. In addition to their excellent performances at the banquet, both spoke at a luncheon held at the Cleveland Athletic Club and attended by most of the secondary school principals in this area.

George Case '29, chairman of the Scholarship Committee, has announced that the annual scholarship drive of the Club netted more than $1,000

Local newspapers have carried recently news of the rise of local alumni in the world. Dr.Francis L. (Fritz) Browning '32 has been named Chief of Staff at Women's Hospital. Russ Treadway '24 has been admitted to partnership in the brokerage firm of Ball, Burge & Kraus. Joe Schultz '21 has joined Bob Swander '33 and Bob Palmer '34 in the capacity of manager of a branch of the Central National Bank of Cleveland.
