Allen R. Foley '20, historian, lecturer, traveler, raconteur and one of the finest public relations agents representing the College, was the honored guest speaker at the smoker in Providence.

The evening meeting, held at the University Club on January 20, was well attended. A color film of the Holy Cross-Dartmouth football game rounded out the program.

Al Foley acquainted the group with recent happenings on the campus, a brief resume of the hockey and basketball outlook, and told stories exemplifying the resourcefulness, independence and other qualities attributed to the Vermonter all very entertaining.

President Ed Carey '16 closed the meeting with a brief word of appreciation to Al and on behalf of the Association presented him with a gold pencil lighter.
