A large group (41 to be exact) attended the pre-Christmas luncheon of the Rhode Island Association held at the University Club on December 23.
Bob Zeiser '49 of Providence, president of the senior class, spoke briefly for the undergraduates. Commenting on the return of college life to pre-war normalcy, he spoke of the pride of the student body in our recent successful football season and the prospects of an equally excellent hockey season ahead.
Our guest speaker, Dean Robert W. (Pat) Kenny of Brown University, gave an interesting and humorous commentary on the problems and experiences of a college dean. Brown's present student body of approximately 3200 is planned for a reduction to a 2000 maximum level by the end of two years. Present were:
