Leaves by the Wayside, a collection of poetry and prose by Mark Lansburgh Jr. '49, has recently appeared in an edition of 40 copies. The type for this book was set, and the book itself printed by Lansburgh himself in the Graphic Arts Workshop, Baker Library. Wood engravings in the book were also made by Lansburgh. Many copies of the book were bound in full leather in the Baker Library Bindery.

Oscar Williams' A Little Treasury of American Poetry, published by Scribners contains nine poems by Richard Eberhart '26. Evan S. Connell Jr. '45 is the author of the short story I'll Take You to Tennessee in the February issue of Tomorrow. It won the $500 first prize in the Edith Mirrielees Contest and the $100 second prize offered by the Midwestern Writers' Conference. It has been selected as the No. 1 story for Prof. Wallace Stegner's volume, Stanford Short Stories, to be published this spring.
