Tuesday night, February 15, the weather in Bridgeport was not good. However, it did not seem to have any noticeable effect on the attendance for the meeting scheduled by the local association. Fifty sturdy Dartmouth men braved the elements together to arrive at President Jack Zellefs home to listen to a talk by George Colton '35. We have not had a meeting since September, 1947, where the number present even approached this figure, and at that time a number of those present were boys entering Dartmouth and their fathers. The February 15 meeting set a record for the percentage of alumni in attendance. The balance of those present for the Tuesday meeting were members of the Dartmouth Fathers' Club.

George Colton presented a most interestingtalk about the affairs of the College. Firstoff he told of some of the changes in thephysical plant at Hanover. He discussed thefaculty- He talked a bit about the Great Issues course. He mentioned the recent WinterCarnival and told us some of its interestinghighlights. He explained the workings of theUndergraduate Council. George then concluded his prepared talk with a discussion ofthe winter sports teams. Following his talk, the meeting was then thrown over for questions.

It was without a doubt the most successfulmeeting held in Bridgeport for many a year.It was successful from all points of view.
