George H. Colton '35, Executive Secretary of the Alumni Fund and Executive Director of the Hopkins Center campaign, was the speaker at a dinner of the Dartmouth Club of Rockford, held at the University Club on March 28. In able and interesting fashion, he brought a report from Hanover and the College.
In attendance were: Agard Bartlett '07, Upton Bartlett '28, William Carrico '28, Riley Franklin '48, home from Hanover for his Spring vacation, Chellis French Jr. '37, Felix Hourdequin '24, Dave Hovey '31, Lloyd Johnson '29, George E. Kennedy '29, William D Knight 'OB, Dr. Alfred C. Meyers '36, Roger Sheets '35, Stanton K. Smith '25, Allen Sparks '25. Also on hand were prospective Dartmouth men, John Franklin of Lake Forest, Tom Hubbard of Hotchkiss and Bob Boehland Jr. of Berkshire; also William R. Franklin, Dartmouth father, and Robert Boehland and Willis Hubbard, prospective Dartmouth fathers.
George E. Kennedy '29, associated with the Kendall Company, which recently acquired the Burson Knitting Company of Rockford, has moved to Rockford from Norwood, Mass. George is raising his own backfield of four sons.
