THE RE-ELECTION of Dudley W. Orr '29 to a second five-year term as Alumni Trustee and the promotion of 13 faculty members were among the actions taken by the Trustees at their June meeting in Hanover Commencement weekend.

Raised to the rank of full Professor were H. Wentworth Eldredge '31 of the Sociology Department; Alexander Laing '25, Assistant Librarian; Ray Nash, Lecturer in Art; and Henry L. Duncombe Jr., Business Statistics, Tuck School.

Promoted to Assistant Professor were Robert Dishman, formerly instructor in government; Elmer Harp Jr., formerly Assistant Curator of the Museum and now Curator of Anthropology; Albert H. Hastorf, formerly instructor in psychology; Judson S. Lyon '40, formerly instructor in English; Francisco Ugarte, formerly instructor in Spanish; and Paul R. Zeller, formerly instructor in music.

Three members of the Medical School faculty promoted to assistant professor were Dr. Niels L. Anthonisen, formerly instructor in psychiatry; Dr. Walter C. Lobitz Jr., formerly instructor in dermatology and syphilology; and Dr. Harry W. Savage '26, formerly instructor in anatomy.

Five men elected emeritus professors of the College were Louis P. Benezet '99, Professor of Education; Everett W. Goodhue 'OO, Professor of Economics; Leland Griggs 'O2, Professor of Zoology; Leon B. Richardson 'OO, New Hampshire Professor of Chemistry; Joseph W. Tanch, Professor of Physics; and Erville B. Woods, Professor of Sociology.

Resignations were received from Joel W. Egerer, Assistant Professor of English, and Oliver L. Lilley '30, instructor in graphics.

Members of the board of trustees attending the June meeting in addition to President Dickey were Gov. Sherman Adams 20, Victor M. Cutter '03, Edward S. French '06, Dr. John F. Gile '16, Harvey P. Hood '18, Sigurd S. Larmon '14, John R. McLane '07, Dudley W. Orr '29, and Beardsley Ruml '15.
