Captain Pete Wells has been the mainstay of the Dartmouth cross-country team thus far, winning the race against Manhattan and running a strong second against Bobby Mack of Yale in a triangular meet.

Dartmouth lost to Manhattan 20-41 in the opener which was run over the Hanover course. The following week at New York the Green was second with 49 points, while Yale was first with 24 and Columbia had zero.
